How To Clean the Inside Of Your Oven or Stove

Cleaning the inside of an oven is no easy task! Dripping bacon grease, wasted biscuit dough, and toppled over chicken pot pie can all make the inside of your oven a mess! Here are 7 simple steps to cleanse the inside of your oven of pesky food residue:

  1. Make sure your oven has been turned off for at least 1 hour and is cool enough to handle.
  2. Remove the oven racks in the inside of the oven (we will address how to clean these racks in the next blog post).
  3. Take a dry paper towel or dish cloth and wipe the entire inside of your oven with a paper towel or dish cloth to remove slack food residue.
  4. In a small bowl or cup, mix together half a cup of baking soda with 2-3 tablespoons of water; a pasty-like substance should appear. Put on a pair of rubber gloves and spread this pasty-like substance all over the inside of your oven.
  5. Let this pasty-like solution sit inside of the oven for 12 hours, then wipe all of the solution away using a damp dish cloth. If some of the pasty-like solution remains, repeat this process until it is completely gone.
  6. Pour white vinegar in a spray bottle and spray the entire inside of the oven.
  7. Take a damp dish cloth and wipe down the inside of the oven one last time; be sure to thoroughly wipe the entire inside of the oven to remove the vinegar and other particles.

Voila! Your oven is now clean as a whistle :).
