Wilkins Refresh Cleaning Service is thrilled to announce the addition of Vanessa Pena and Alexis Turner as the newest members of the team. Recently hired as Chief Sparkle Engineers, Vanessa and Alexis are already making waves not only with their cleaning expertise but also with their enthusiasm and work ethic. Michael Wilkins, the owner of Wilkins Refresh, couldn’t be more excited to have them on board, and they’ve already proven to be invaluable members of the team.

Meet Vanessa Pena: A Quiet Sparkle with Big Dreams

Vanessa Pena, a native of Nesbit, Mississippi, is currently a Biochemistry major at Mississippi State University, set to graduate in May 2025. While juggling a busy school schedule, Vanessa is also a talented flutist and a proud member of the Mississippi State Band, reflecting her dedication to her passions.

“Vanessa is a very quiet, yet vibrant, person,” says Michael Wilkins. “She brings such a calm energy to the workplace but has a fun side that really shines through when she’s working with the team. I’m so excited to have her on board, and she’s already been doing an incredible job.”

In addition to her work with Wilkins Refresh, Vanessa works part-time as a Stocker at Target and is a big fan of anime. She also plans to pursue graduate school at Mississippi State after completing her undergraduate degree, aiming to become a crime scene investigator.

Vanessa’s ability to balance academics, work, and personal interests shows not only her time management skills but also her dedication to everything she does. Recently, she has been trained by Michael to take on tasks beyond just cleaning. In addition to learning about day-to-day cleaning operations, Vanessa now plays a key role in the hiring process, interviewing potential cleaning technician candidates to see if they’re a good fit for the team.

“Vanessa has really earned my trust in such a short time,” Michael says. “I’m training her on tasks beyond cleaning, including interviewing potential candidates for the team. She’s proven she has great judgment and knows exactly what we need to maintain the positive dynamic of our team.”

Meet Alexis Turner: The Energetic Go-Getter with a Heart of Gold

Alexis Turner, a 2019 graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in Information Technology Services, brings both technical expertise and a joyful spirit to the Wilkins Refresh team. Known for her enthusiastic and outgoing personality, Alexis adds a touch of fun wherever she goes. Whether she's cracking jokes, offering a helping hand, or taking the initiative on a new task, she makes every moment at work an enjoyable one.

“Alexis is one of those people who can make anything fun,” Michael shares. “She’s always full of energy and ready to tackle any challenge with a smile. She’s also a natural leader who doesn’t wait to be asked – she steps up and takes the initiative. I love having her on the team.”

In addition to her role at Wilkins Refresh, Alexis works full-time as a Call Center/Scheduling Coordinator at Telvista. She enjoys cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and, like Vanessa, is an anime enthusiast.

Alexis’s proactive nature extends beyond her regular cleaning duties. Just like Vanessa, Alexis has been trained to take on additional responsibilities, including assisting in the hiring process. She’s actively involved in interviewing potential cleaning technician candidates, helping ensure that new hires align with the company culture.

“Alexis’s judgment and attention to detail during interviews have been impressive,” says Michael. “She’s always thinking about the team and what qualities will help the new person fit in seamlessly. I trust her wholeheartedly with this responsibility.”

Vanessa and Alexis are not only an incredible addition to Wilkins Refresh individually, but together they make a powerful team. Vanessa’s calm, thoughtful nature complements Alexis’s outgoing energy, creating a well-balanced duo that supports each other on every task.

“Vanessa and Alexis truly work well together,” says Michael Wilkins. “They each bring different strengths to the table, and it’s amazing to watch them collaborate. Vanessa is methodical and precise, while Alexis brings a great deal of energy and enthusiasm. The balance between them makes them a perfect fit for the company.”

“It’s not every day that you get a cake with your name on it to celebrate joining a team,” Michael says with a smile. “I wanted them to know just how excited I am to have them on board. They’ve already proven to be outstanding, and I know they’re going to continue to do amazing things with Wilkins Refresh.”
